Telefónica provides that more than 61% of SMEs will boost teleworking

Telefónica seems to be clear that teleworking is not going to be a fashion.A tool that has become a key element of its collective agreement in Spain and that, at the same time, is a relevant point for the business business, seeking technology to implement distance employment.The operator has created a White Book of Teleworking, to explain the current legal context, the creation of new work spaces and describe the steps to be followed to make the change.

According to a telephone study between Spanish SMEs (more than 550.000), with a template between three and 199 employees, entitled DM SMEs, 35% of SMEs have a structured teleworking model, five percentage points more than six months ago.In turn, 61% of these companies say that it will facilitate teleworking to its employees after the end of the pandemic.

"Teleworking has ceased to be a residual custom to become a few months in many organizations, whose business continuity has been possible thanks to the fact that employees have been able to continue working since their homes," says Belén Espejo, from Telefónica Companies.

The challenges and benefits of teleworking stand out in the White Paper.Among the challenges is the fact that profitability kpis and commercial efforts do not decrease for remote working.

Among the benefits are the improvement of productivity, since there are fewer distractions than in the workplace;the reduction of work absenteeism (labor and family needs adapt);a greater commitment of the employee, because the compatibility of schedules impacts motivation;and the promotion of responsibility.In the White Paper it is pointed out that the companies that use on a large scale the teleworking are more attractive to attract the best professionals.

For Telefónica, the Teleworking Map includes safe connectivity;Unified management and supports;security politics;fixed and mobile communications;devices and accessories;productivity and collaboration;tools for digital employee and virtual application desks.The use of these applications has increased among large companies by more than 60%.
